IE 9 still fails the ACID 3


As you can see, with all those IE 9 Microsoft promotion, its still fails the ACID 3 test. Image above shows IE9 acid 3 test against Google Chrome

  1. My IE9 shows exactly as yours, but according to Wikipedia, IE9 gets a 95 / 100 on the acid3. I know it's supposed to be run with default settings. I wonder if we've messed with that.

  2. Yep. I went to Tools -> Internet Options -> "Advanced" tab, and selected "Reset..." at the bottom. I went with all recommended settings and viola, I got a 95/100. I don't know what settings I had that messed up the acid test.

    But still, so many browsers have been at 100 here for some time. Why M$? Why? As I heard elsewhere, "Hey IE9, 1998 called. Good job!"

  3. Actually I ran the ACID 3 test right after I download IE9. Didn't tweak anything, just straight up ACID 3 then bam 13/100.
